Heather Rivet is a landscape photographer who has recently moved to the City Of Orillia, after living in Northwestern, Ontario for many years. Heather grew up in Toronto, Ontario. She is passionate about showing the simple beauty in our surroundings, a simple stump along the shoreline or a trail through a farmers field.
She is currently one of the top emerging photographers of Canada as seen in the Photo Life September 2009 issue, and wishes to continue to push the world of photography in new ways. She has had solo exhibits and has produced two books, one of 26 local artists in Dryden, Ontario, along with a portfolio of her own work. She is currently featured in the Winter Edition of Fotoblur Magazine's 1st year anniversary issue. Her prints are exhibited in private collections and public collections worldwide.
For the past three years she has been pursuing photography and it has become a passion, just getting out and showing what nature has to offer, wither it be at 5:00 am at -45 below zero, to a warm summer day at the lake. She has slowly been adding more conceptual shots to her gallery and is enjoying the complexity of this type of work. She is thrilled as she often receives the comment I wish I were there right beside you as you took that photograph, that means she have done her job and brought the moment to the viewer. Her website is
